Then There Were None was an underground American synth-pop and darkwave duo active in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The duo consisted of musicians Bev Stanton and John Sudnik.Their Roots: Before forming Then There Were None, the pair played together in an obscure '80s act called Miserichord. When that group disbanded, they pivoted their sound toward a colder, more synthesized aesthetic, giving rise to Then There Were None. Their style is a blend of traditional melodic synth-pop, minimalist coldwave, and early darkwave, heavily relying on vintage drum machines and analog synthesizers. While the duo remained deep in the musical underground and never achieved mainstream commercial success, they developed a dedicated cult following among collectors of rare '80s and '90s electronic music.
