It is part of "The First Ten Years" CD single series released in 1990 to commemorate the band's tenth-year recording anniversary. Each CD single in the series contains two original singles with their B-sides and artwork

  • "Wasted Years"
  • "Reach Out"
  • "Sheriff of Huddersfield"
  • "Stranger in a Strange Land"
  • "That Girl"
  • "Juanita"
  • "Listen with Nicko! Part VIII"

B-Side Deep Cuts

  • "Sheriff of Huddersfield" was a secret joke: The B-side "Sheriff of Huddersfield" is a joke song the band wrote to mock their manager, Rod Smallwood, who had recently moved to Los Angeles and constantly complained about it. The band and the record label kept the song a complete secret from Smallwood until the single was released. The song even opens with a parody of The Blues Brothers tagline: "We're on a mission from Rod".
  • B-sides are covers from a side project: The B-sides "Reach Out," "That Girl," and "Juanita" are not true Iron Maiden originals. They are covers from a side project band, The Entire Population of Hackney, which featured Adrian Smith and Nicko McBrain jamming with friends during their time off. This single is one of the few places to find all of them.
  • Adrian Smith on lead vocals: "Reach Out" is one of the extremely rare Iron Maiden studio recordings where Bruce Dickinson does not sing lead vocals; Adrian Smith handles all the lead vocals on this track.
