About the artist
Charlie Musselwhite (born 1944 in Kosciusko, Mississippi; raised in Memphis) is a highly respected blues harmonica player, guitarist, and vocalist. Nicknamed “Memphis Charlie,” he moved to Chicago in the early 1960s, became part of the South Side blues scene, and released his debut Stand Back! Here Comes Charley Musselwhite’s Southside Band in 1967. He remains active and is considered one of the great living blues harp players.
